The next meeting of the Cross-Party Group on End of Life Choices will be held in the Scottish Parliament on 10 September 2019 and will include talks from two guest speakers.
One of the speakers is distinguished neurosurgeon, Dr Henry Marsh. Last year, Dr Marsh penned an article for the Times in which he outlined his support for assisted dying; he will be joining us to detail his thoughts about assisted dying and to explain how they have developed over the course of his medical career.
We will also be joined by Cambridge academic, Dr Mehrunisha Suleman. Dr Suleman is a research associate at the Centre for Islamic Studies at the University of Cambridge and specialises in medical ethics and Islam. She will be presenting a talk on her research into Muslim perspectives on end of life care.
This meeting will take place at 18:00 in the Adam Smith Room (Committee Room 5).
For security reasons, we will need a complete list of those who are planning to attend. If you wish to attend the Cross-Party Group meeting, please confirm by email to
