Join us on Saturday 16th November for the Friends at the End AGM.
We will be joined at the AGM by Dr Ellen Wiebe, Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Practice at the University of British Columbia. Dr Wiebe is one of the leading voices on assisted dying in Canada and will be visiting to talk about how the legalisation of assisted dying has impacted the country and how she works with assisted dying professionally. As founder of Hemlock Aid, Dr Wiebe supports both patients and medical professionals during the assisted dying process and will be able to share valuable insights into assisted dying from both of these perspectives.
Professor Celia Kitzinger of Advance Decisions Assistance (ADA) will be on hand to run an Advance Directive workshop during the lunch hour. If you wish to draft an advance directive or update one, then please bring it along. This is a great opportunity to consider/re-evaluate how you wish to manage your own end of life, with free professional support to do so.
Public event with talk:11am-1pm
