‘I just want to die…’ Her husband’s eyes were pleading, the voice she knew so well was slurred. But the words were chillingly clear: “Just put me out in the garden. Put me out and I’ll die overnight.” “It was one of those freezing nights we had in December,” remembers Jenny. “If he’d gone outside I’m sure he would have died. It was simply horrendous.”
